Brussels Confirms New EU Mission in Armenia

Brussels has confirmed the new EU mission in Armenia. The European Union's foreign ministers today gave a 'green light' for the launch of a new civilian mission in Armenia, which will aid Yerevan in combating hybrid threats, including foreign manipulation of electoral processes, cyberattacks, and illegal political financing.

The mission is set to begin operations in the coming months, will have a two-year mandate, and will be named the 'European Union Partnership Mission in the Republic of Armenia (EUPM Armenia),' as stated in the announcement.
