We Are Not Doing It for Ourselves: Narek Karapetyan's Statement

The leader of the electoral list of the "Strong Armenia" party, Narek Karapetyan, announced during a meeting in Artashat that their struggle has no other interest than the public good and is directed towards everyone's welfare.

"What we are doing, we are not doing it for ourselves, but for everyone because this struggle and the chosen path have no other purpose besides the public interest," Narek Karapetyan stated.

In his speech, he particularly pointed out: "I appeal to our compatriots in uniforms. In your region, the Ararat region, over the last eight years, crimes have increased threefold, with 5,400 crimes recorded in 2024. Serious crimes have risen tenfold in your region. Is the opposition the issue that should be addressed, or are crimes, or is it that the country is slipping away, or the proper governance of the country? The areas planted have reduced by 35%, almost all planting areas have decreased, except for grapes and apricots. In eight years, the wheat planting areas have been cut twice, trade has decreased compared to 2022 and 2024, the region is weakening, and 9,000 hectares lack water, resulting in a shortage of harvesting and no orchards. We bring change for the region, so that there is not a single meter that does not yield crops to feed the entire region. Armavir and Ararat, the Ararat Valley is the most fertile part of the country," he added.
