Iran Reports Casualties from US and Israeli Attacks
Iranian news agencies 'Tabnak' and 'ISNA', citing the head of the Foundation for the Victims, Seyed Ahmad Mousavi, have reported that 3,468 people have been killed due to the attacks carried out by the US and Israel. Earlier data confirmed that as of April 12, Iranian authorities had officially identified 3,375 citizens who died in airstrikes launched by US and Israeli armed forces. Among the deceased are approximately 500 women and over 2,800 men.
It is recalled that the US and Israel struck Iran on the morning of February 28. Among the casualties were the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his wife, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Abdulrahim Mousavi, Minister of Defense Aziz Nasirzadeh, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Pakpour, and Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani. In the city of Minab in Hormozgan province, 170 children and staff members were killed in the bombing of the 'Shajareh Tayebe' elementary school designated for girls. A 40-day mourning period has been declared in the country.
