US Proposes 15-Point Negotiation Framework: Araqchi

The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that if attacks against Iran cease, the country's armed forces will also halt their defensive operations. He noted that this statement is made on behalf of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran.

Araqchi also announced plans to ensure secure navigation through the Hormuz Strait within two weeks. According to him, this process will be implemented in coordination with the Iranian armed forces and will take into account existing technical limitations.

In his statement, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, for their efforts in promoting peace in the region. He mentioned that he is responding to the request from the Pakistani Prime Minister as well as the negotiation proposals presented by the United States.

At the same time, Araqchi pointed out that the US has offered a 15-point framework for negotiations, and according to the US President’s declaration, the main points of Iran's own 10-point proposal could serve as a basis for further discussions.
