The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has announced that Iran has committed a "serious violation" of the ceasefire agreement. Despite this, Trump expressed confidence that a peace agreement will ultimately be reached. "This will happen either through peaceful means or with the use of force," he was quoted by ABC News.
It is noteworthy that on the morning of February 28, the United States and Israel conducted strikes against Iran. The strikes resulted in the deaths of the country’s Supreme Spiritual Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his wife, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Abdulrahim Mousavi, Minister of Defense Aziz Nasirzadeh, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour, and Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani.
In the bombing of the "Shajare Tayebe" elementary school for girls in the city of Minab, Hormozgan Province, 170 children and staff lost their lives. A 40-day mourning period has been declared in the country.
