They have agreed to return enriched uranium: Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump claims that Iran has expressed a willingness to hand over enriched uranium to the United States. The Washington Post quotes his words: “Iran has no nuclear weapons, and they have agreed to that... They have agreed to return to us nuclear dust that is located deep underground due to the strikes we have inflicted using B-2 bombers.” The publication clarifies that by “nuclear dust,” Trump refers to highly enriched uranium.
It is noteworthy that on February 28, the U.S. and Israel began striking objects within Iranian territory, resulting in the deaths of more than three thousand people. On April 8, the parties declared a two-week ceasefire; however, subsequent negotiations held in Islamabad did not yield results. While there are no reports of renewed hostilities, the U.S. has commenced a blockade of Iranian ports. Mediators are currently making efforts to organize a new round of negotiations.
