Samvel Karapetyan's House Arrest Extended

The leader of the "Strong Armenia" party, Samvel Karapetyan, will remain under house arrest as the court has extended the detention period by 3 months.

It should be noted that the Anti-Corruption Court was reviewing the issue of the preventive measure for Samvel Karapetyan.

Recall that Karapetyan's lawyer, Aram Vardevanyan, submitted a request to the court to lift the house arrest in exchange for an increase in the bail amount. The lawyer stated that Karapetyan is willing to add about 400 million drams to the previously set 4 billion dram bail. According to the lawyer, no violations have been recorded by Karapetyan during the past 10 months.
