Putin and Biden Were Wrong, Says Brazilian President

The Brazilian president believes that peace in Ukraine will not be established without external intervention and a negotiation framework.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated that both the opposing sides and their allies had illusions of a quick victory at the start of military operations.

In an interview with El Pais, the Brazilian president emphasized, “Biden thought he would soon defeat Russia. And Russia thought it would soon defeat Ukraine. They were wrong. The war has been ongoing for four years now.”

Da Silva also expressed doubts that fighting would cease anytime soon, as neither side has yet achieved its set goals.
