Orban Reflects on the End of His 16-Year Rule
The current Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, has urged for a fundamental transformation of his Fidesz party following a significant defeat in the parliamentary elections. This defeat marks the end of Orban's 16 years in power. He discussed this in his first interview after the election, aired on the Patriota YouTube channel.
The politician took full responsibility for the party's failure and indicated that he is working on recovering from the blow. According to him, continuing to operate as before is no longer possible.
Orban admitted that after the announcement of the preliminary results, he felt a sense of “pain and emptiness.” “I think on Sunday, I only felt pain, and on Monday, emptiness. Since then, I have been receiving work therapy,” he stated.
