NATO Forces Accumulate Near Russia's Border

19,000 servicemen from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Poland, the Baltic states, Norway, Italy, and Hungary will participate in exercises taking place in Finland. The most extensive maneuvers called "Karelia Sharp 26" will be conducted in close proximity to the Russian Federation's border, involving 10,000 personnel. A portion of the artillery fire is planned to take place just 70 kilometers away from the border.
The alliance aims to develop offensive operations using armored vehicles and engage in air defense operations.
Overall, more than 500 units of equipment will be utilized during the exercises. The events are set to begin on April 24 and continue until the end of May.
