Five New Reservoirs to Be Constructed in Armenia
In Armenia, by 2025, losses of drinking water will be reduced to 51.9 percent, compared to 61 percent in 2024. Losses of irrigation water will account for 44.3 percent, down from 45.5 percent in 2024. This was announced by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, during a speech in the National Assembly.
The head of the agency also informed that the Public Investment Committee has approved a project for the construction of five reservoirs in the country. The design work has already been completed, and relevant competitions will soon commence.
“The reservoirs in question are in Astghadzor, Elpin, Kasakh, Lichq, and Artik,” noted Davit Khudatyan.
