Avanesyan on Changes to Healthcare Workers' Salaries Under New System

During a session of the National Assembly, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan discussed the changes in the salary fund resulting from the implementation of the universal health insurance system. The minister noted that noticeable differences have already emerged in the salary figures for March.

According to her, there are healthcare workers whose income has doubled, and in the case of some specialists, it has increased threefold or more. Anahit Avanesyan explained: “As a result of the introduction of the insurance system, yes, it is true that the principles of remuneration have changed, meaning that a person is paid according to their workload and the patients they serve.”

According to the minister, healthcare workers have already adapted to the new regulations, resulting in positive indicators that will be sustained over time.
