Administrative Supervision Applied to Gohar Ghumashyan and Verzhine Stepanian

Members of the "Strong Armenia" party Gohar Ghumashyan and Verzhine Stepanian are now under administrative supervision. This was reported by party member Gohar Meloyan.

Recall that yesterday, in connection with the case, the Anti-Corruption Committee published a recording stating: "As a result of activities carried out by the operational-investigative units of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, factual information has been obtained regarding the upcoming regular elections of the National Assembly. After the presidential decree on scheduling the elections comes into force on February 7, 2026, in the context of the legislative prohibition on carrying out charity, it has been established that, under the guise of charity, during the month of March 2026, monetary funds were provided without compensation in one case by a member of the "Strong Armenia" party with the assistance of another person, while in another case, services were promised under preferential conditions.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant article of the RA Criminal Code, and public criminal prosecution has been instituted against two individuals who have been arrested.

It should also be noted that a motion was submitted to the court to apply home arrest as a preventive measure against Gohar Ghumashyan.
