US President Donald Trump has criticized the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV, on the Truth Social platform. The White House chief expressed dissatisfaction with the Pope's approaches, labeling him as 'weak' in the fight against crime and deeming his foreign policy unacceptable.

The main points of contention center around the Vatican’s positions on Iran and Venezuela. Trump emphasized that he does not accept the Pope's stance regarding Tehran's nuclear program and opposes the criticisms directed at Washington's actions concerning Venezuela.

The President urged the Church leader to refrain from catering to 'radical leftists' and to focus solely on religious duties. This statement followed Leo XIV's previous remarks, in which the pontiff condemned the warlike rhetoric directed towards Iran.

In his Easter message, the Pope called on world leaders to avoid escalation and to resolve issues through dialogue. In response, Trump hinted that Leo XIV's tenure is somewhat linked to the events occurring at the White House.
