Lukashenko Warns CSTO Regarding Armenia
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has declared that the CSTO should adopt a more cautious and delicate approach in its relations with Armenia. He made this statement during a meeting with the CSTO Secretary General.
Lukashenko noted that alongside the achievements within the organization, there are also issues that he has repeatedly addressed. One of these issues pertains to relations with Armenia.
“We need to be more careful and tactful in our relations with Armenia. You know, Armenia does not seem to support CSTO operations, yet it continues to be a member of this organization. We must be very delicate in this regard. Armenia is in a difficult situation at this time, especially during the election period,” Lukashenko stated.
He also emphasized the importance of organizing meetings between the CSTO Secretary General and Armenian leadership. “It would be good if you visited Armenia and spoke with the Prime Minister, the President, and the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council to understand their position regarding the future,” added the President of Belarus.
