Identity of Victims of Shirak Region Accident Revealed
The identities of the victims and the injured in the accident near the village of Aghin in the Shirak region have been clarified. Among the deceased are two young children aged 5 and 1.
According to Shamshyan.com, the 'BMW' was driven by 35-year-old Karren A., while the 'Opel' was driven by 30-year-old Elamir Kh.
The accident resulted in the deaths of 64-year-old Lia H., a passenger in the 'BMW', the driver of the 'Opel' Elamir Kh., and four of the eight passengers in the 'Opel': 56-year-old Leyli Kh., 20-year-old Arman T., 5-year-old Rouzanna Kh., and 1-year-old Mheran Kh.
Karren A., the driver of the 'BMW', and the other passengers from the 'Opel'—27-year-old Mariam T., 8-year-old Leyli Kh., 3-year-old Tigran Kh., and 1-year-old Davit Kh.—were transported to Gyumri Medical Center, with several being transferred to specialized hospitals in Yerevan.
Earlier reports indicated that the deceased 64-year-old Lia Hovhannisyan was from the village of Sarakab. The 'BMW' was being driven by her son, Karren A., who is in the intensive care unit with multiple fractures. According to local villagers, they were heading from Sarakab to Gyumri for shopping purposes.
