The Deceased Were Family Members: New Details from the Tragic Accident

A tragic car accident near the village of Aghin in the Shirak Province has resulted in the deaths of a mother and her son, both residents of Sarakap. The mother has succumbed to her injuries, while the son is in intensive care with multiple injuries.

Five of the victims were from the same family in the village of Jrarar, as confirmed by the village mayor, Sevak Khachatryan, during an interview with NEWS.am. He reported that one of the deceased was a 31-year-old community resident. In the vehicle were his mother, wife, and children, all of whom died in the crash.

One of the injured has been transported by helicopter to the Erebuni Medical Center. Earlier, the Ministry of Health reported that a total of 11 individuals were affected by the accident. Among the hospitalized are five children, two of whom could not be saved. Arrangements are being made for the transfer of three injured children to Yerevan, while the conditions of the others are classified as serious and critical.

According to preliminary data, a BMW and an Opel collided head-on, causing the BMW to roll down the ravine.
