Pashinyan and Putin Agree on New Meeting
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has announced that a high-level meeting with the Russian side is scheduled to be held in the second half of June.
Pashinyan once again praised the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in April and told reporters that there is already an agreement on upcoming meetings and events. According to him, the parties have agreed to hold high-level meetings, including one in the second half of June.
The Prime Minister also noted that Armenian-Russian relations are currently undergoing constructive transformation, and he views this process positively. He emphasized that their principle is to remain within the framework of friendly dialogue with the Russian side.
Pashinyan reiterated his previous statement, saying that as long as there is an opportunity to move towards EU integration while remaining a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, Armenia will pursue that path. “When the time comes that they are no longer compatible, we will make a decision together with the people,” he said.
