Earthquake in Armenia

On April 9, at 22:44 local time (18:44 GMT), the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 at a depth of 10 km. The epicenter was located in the Armenia-Georgia border area, 17 km northeast of the village of Bavra, at geographic coordinates of 41.17° N and 44.00° E.

The intensity of the subterranean tremors in the epicentral zone was measured at 4-5 points. The earthquake was felt in the Shirak region, particularly in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, Ghazanchi, and Ashotsq, as well as in the villages of Pagharbyur and Noramut in the Lori region, with an intensity of 3 points.
