"Go, so they go". Armen Ashotyann

Former Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyann, has presented four conceptual proposals to the opposition.

1. As you know, on May 4 and 5, two major events will take place in Yerevan: first, the European Political Community Summit, and then the first EU-Armenia Summit. As an experienced and responsible party, we propose to the other opposition forces, which will likely be exclusively occupied with their own campaigns, to allow us to coordinate organizing joint events during those days. I repeat, joint.

2. There has been much discussion about the need to motivate our citizens and ensure high participation rates in the upcoming elections to defeat the regime. We declare that the activities of the Republican Party from this congress until June 7 will be directed towards encouraging our compatriots to participate in these nationwide elections under the slogan 'Go, so they go,' through various actions, campaigning, informational initiatives, and meetings with residents.

3. It is no secret that at this stage, real opposition forces declare that they exclude any cooperation with the ruling regime. We propose that, besides such declarations from the main opposition forces, those placed in the top three spots of their party's electoral lists take on a moral obligation not to cooperate with the capitulating regime and not to abandon the opposition field by signing a relevant memorandum and effectively coordinating their political and personal positions.

4. It is known that in our party’s endeavors, the fight against this regime has not only been crucial but also our plan to pull our country out of the situation created after the change of power. Since the Republican Party will not participate in the upcoming elections, we are ready to provide this repository, filled with many programmatic provisions, to any opposition force that might be interested in it,” Ashotyann wrote.
