Serzh Sargsyan on Today's Opposition and Not Participating in Elections

Today, the leader of the opposition is "Strong Armenia," and many conclusions need to be drawn from there. This was stated by the third President of Armenia and the leader of the Republican Party of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, during a press briefing.

The third president noted that, at this moment, the rating of the "Armenia" alliance is higher than theirs. According to him, this has been one of the reasons why the Republican Party has adopted a different approach regarding participation in the elections.

"The rating of the 'Armenia' alliance is higher than ours. If our rating had been higher than the 'Armenia' alliance, we would have been obliged to participate in the elections. I don’t think anyone has any doubt that today the leader of the opposition is 'Strong Armenia,' from which many conclusions need to be drawn," said Serzh Sargsyan, addressing the unifying force.

It is worth recalling that earlier, during his press briefing, the third President stated that he wishes for the 'Armenia' alliance to win the elections more than many others, as it benefits everyone.

Additionally, it should be noted that Serzh Sargsyan has been re-elected as the president of the Republican Party of Armenia with a vote ratio of 438 in favor and 3 against. This was announced during the 18th congress of the Republican Party. During the congress, Serzh Sargsyan declared that the Republican Party would not participate in the elections.
