Passenger Train Derails in Russia, Seven Cars Off Tracks, Injuries Reported

The passenger train number 302 derailed on April 3 in the Cherdaklinsky district of the Ulyanovsk region. According to the Telegram 112 channel, there were 415 people on board the train. As reported by the press service of the Russian Railways, the incident occurred near the Bryandino station. Train traffic has been suspended in the affected area due to the incident.

Recovery trains have been dispatched from Bugulma, Ulyanovsk, Ruzaevka, and Sizran stations to eliminate the aftermath.

The main department of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) in the Ulyanovsk region has stated that there are no casualties from the passenger train derailment, as reported by RIA Novosti. The regional EMERCOM's official website notes that the train derailed while traveling from Moscow to Chelyabinsk. Emergency services have arrived at the scene.

Chelyabinsk region governor Alexey Texler announced on his Telegram channel that there have been no confirmed reports of casualties. He emphasized that authorities are “monitoring the situation.”
