New Dismissals in the US: Trump Removes Senior Military Officials
Donald Trump has dismissed Pam Bondi from her position. The US President has removed Pam Bondi from her role as Attorney General and Secretary of Justice.
He announced that the duties of the Attorney General will be temporarily performed by Deputy Todd Blanch.
According to The New York Times, one of the reasons for this decision was the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. She is accused of improper handling of investigative materials.
American media reports that senior military officers have also been dismissed. The Army Chief of Staff Randy George, the commander of Army Transformation and Readiness General David Hodne, and the commander of the Army Chaplains Corps Major General William Green have also been removed from their positions.
Previously, the President had also dismissed the former head of the Department of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem.
