New Data on Inflation
The annual inflation rate in the consumer market of the Republic of Armenia has reached 4.5%. This was reported by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
In the first quarter of 2026, the consumer price index was 4.2% higher than the figures from January-March of the previous year. In the first three months of this year, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 6.8% compared to the same period last year.
In March, prices rose by 1.8% compared to February, and by 7.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, marking a 7.2% increase compared to December 2025.
Prices for housing services, water, electricity, gas, and other types of fuel were 0.1% higher in the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year. In March, prices decreased by 0.7% compared to February, by 0.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 0.1% compared to December 2025.
In the healthcare sector, prices increased by 4% in the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year. In March, prices grew by 0.5% compared to February, by 4.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 3.1% compared to December 2025.
