US National Debt Increased in One Month: Reports

As of March 31, 2026, the total debt obligations of the US government have reached $39 trillion, $65 billion, and $421 million. According to the same source, earlier in March, the US national debt had surpassed the $39 trillion mark for the first time in the country’s history.
The report mentions that the actions of the US and Israel against Iran commenced on Saturday night, February 28. Following that, the volume of US national debt has continued to grow over the course of one month.
