Iran-Armenia Cooperation Has Slowed Down, Says Iranian Ambassador
In Armenia, Iran's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador, Khalil Shirgholami, has stated that cooperation between Iran and various countries, including Armenia, has slowed down due to the war in the Middle East, but he emphasized that this situation is temporary.
In an interview with Armenpress, Khalil Shirgholami noted that numerous issues were on the Iran-Armenia agenda, including planned reciprocal visits and significant meetings on economic, educational, infrastructural, and other matters. However, he acknowledged that the pace of cooperation has diminished due to the war situation.
“But this does not mean that all these issues are not in our focus. God willing, after the war ends, we will deepen our ties, especially since there is a strong desire and willingness from both countries’ authorities in this regard. We are committed to fully implementing the bilateral agenda,” said the ambassador.
