Criminals Can Lock Your Phone: Warning

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a warning.

“Be careful. Do not log into foreign 'iCloud' accounts on your mobile phones. If you are offered to access someone else's iCloud account on your mobile phone (iPhone) through various excuses via communication applications (e.g., Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, etc.), do not trust it under any circumstances.

As a result of such actions, criminals can:

• Remotely lock your mobile phone
• Deprive you of access to your device
• Demand money for unlocking the device or commit other crimes.

To avoid becoming a victim of such fraud:

• Never enter someone else's iCloud account information on your mobile phone
• Never perform technical steps on your personal device based on instructions from unknown individuals
• Never share access codes, passwords, or any data related to your Apple ID/Icloud with third parties.

Remember, criminals are trying to gain access to your device or personal information through these methods. Stay vigilant and protect your personal data.”
