Trump's Signature to Appear on Dollar Bills
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has announced that future American banknotes will feature the signature of Secretary of the Treasury alongside that of President Donald Trump. According to the agency, this is the first time in the country's history that a sitting president's signature will be included on U.S. banknotes.
The announcement was made on March 26, just ahead of the 250th anniversary of American independence. The release of the new banknotes is intended to coincide with this milestone.
Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessenet has stated that this move is presented as a highlight of the country's historical achievements and a significant emphasis on Trump's tenure in office. U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach also commented on the matter, declaring that placing Trump's signature on American currency is not only appropriate but a deserving step.
