Heavy Rain and Storm in the UAE: Roads Flooded

Heavy rains have fallen in large parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, as well as in the northern emirates, Gulf News reported on Friday.

According to the UAE's National Center of Meteorology (NCM), "unstable weather conditions due to a low-pressure system have caused waves of rain across the country, along with strong winds and thunderstorms."

Gulf News noted that residents in major cities of this Gulf country reported "lightning strikes, booming thunder, and heavy rain" from Thursday night until early Friday morning.

The report stated that due to the heavy downpours, streets in certain areas have been flooded.
