Deadline for Submitting Military Service Deferment Applications Announced

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport informs that the deadline for submitting documents to receive a deferment from mandatory military service for those engaged in education, culture, and sports is April 30, 2026.

According to the requirements of the Armenian Government's decisions No. 450-N, No. 451-N, and No. 457-N dated April 12, 2018, citizens who have made significant achievements in the fields of science, education, culture, and sports may apply to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport for deferment from military service from April 1 to May 1, 2026.

The application must be submitted in the specified form, along with the original or copies of the necessary documents in accordance with the aforementioned government decisions. The citizen or their representative must submit these documents to the Ministry via email at [email protected]. If a representative is submitting the application, a power of attorney must also be provided.

To enhance the efficiency of the deferment granting process, it is recommended that applicants submit their requests and accompanying documents in a digitized electronic format whenever possible.
