Benjamin Netanyahu Issues Statement
Israel has begun to establish a buffer zone in southern Lebanon for security reasons. This was announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the government's office.
According to him, the measure is aimed at protecting the northern parts of the country from potential threats. Netanyahu noted that a security zone has already been formed to prevent land incursions into Galilee.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the buffer zone is being expanded to eliminate the threat of anti-tank missiles from border villages. He claims that these measures are important for strengthening border security.
Furthermore, Netanyahu stated that the armed wing of Hezbollah had prepared an incursion plan, but according to him, this threat has been neutralized.
