Russia's Foreign Ministry Sends Protest Note to Israeli Ambassador

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has lodged a complaint with Israel's Ambassador to Moscow, Oded Joseph, regarding a missile strike on a filming crew from RT television in southern Lebanon. The ministry highlighted the seriousness of the incident.

The Russian side demanded a full and thorough investigation into the event, as well as measures to prevent similar cases in the future. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in its announcement that the safety of journalists must be ensured in conflict zones.

The ambassador was summoned to the ministry following an Israeli strike that resulted in injuries to RT journalist Steve Sweeney. The incident occurred during his professional activities in southern Lebanon.
