Europe Will Not Survive Without Russian Oil — Orban
The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, has stated that Europe, in his assessment, will not be able to overcome the energy crisis without the return of Russian oil and fuel. He made this remark during a conversation with reporters following the European Union summit held in Brussels.
According to Orban, the risk of a global oil shortage is already imminent, and in such conditions, the current approach of European countries is, in his characterization, incorrect. The Prime Minister emphasized that the necessity of Russian oil remains evident for Europe, particularly amidst rising fuel pressures.
He argued that European leaders may currently deny this assessment; however, according to Orban, the situation will become more apparent to everyone in the next week or two. He underscored that without Russian fuel, Europe's resilience is called into question.
Viktor Orban also highlighted that the issue pertains not only to the energy balance of individual states but also to the continent's capacity to respond to a potential global fuel shortage.
