Benjamin Netanyahu Issues Statement, Leading Iran to Fire a Series of Missiles
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has stated that Iran no longer has the capability to enrich uranium or produce ballistic missiles, according to The Times of Israel.
“We have struck those facilities. We continue to destroy those capabilities. We will turn them into dust and ashes,” he declared. He added that Iran is “weaker than ever,” while Israel is a strong state in the region and, in some opinions, “the power of the world.”
Just hours after Netanyahu's statement, Iran launched a series of missiles toward Israel, triggering alarm sirens in the capital and other parts of the country.
In his English address, Netanyahu noted that the “Rising Lion” operation in June had destroyed most of Iran's missile and nuclear infrastructure, and that Iranian factories producing components for missiles and nuclear weapons are now being targeted.
