Gagik Tsarukyan Issues Statement

The country’s political life should not turn into a platform for geopolitical confrontation, wrote Gagik Tsarukyan.

“Today, I would like to present several key principles of our electoral program, as well as our vision for the future of Armenia, as an invitation for open and meaningful dialogue with our international partners and the diplomatic corps accredited in Armenia.

1. The upcoming political processes and elections are not a geopolitical choice between power centers. This is a competition of ideas, programs, and approaches to state development, which should take place within constitutional and democratic procedures. The country’s political life should not turn into a platform for geopolitical confrontation.
2. All internal changes should be carried out through constitutional processes. We are convinced that strengthening the legitimacy and predictability of political processes is the basis for the stability of the state and public confidence.
3. In the near future, we will present our foreign policy concept, which will clearly show how Armenia will restore balance, reliability, and stability in its relationships with partners.
4. The principle of restoring strategic and predictable balance is the foundation of our foreign policy strategy. Armenia will build partner relations with all key players in the international arena, including Russia, the United States, the EU, China, India, as well as neighboring countries. This is a systemic strategy for strengthening trust and predictability in international relations.
5. Armenia must become an open country for investments, infrastructure projects, and new opportunities. We see particular potential in the development of regional transport hubs and communication routes, which can enhance Armenia's role as a linking element of economic regions. At the same time, it is essential to develop the technological economy, support innovations, digital infrastructure, and the development of new sectors. Investments, infrastructure projects, and technological development not only ensure economic growth but also lay the foundation for long-term stability and regional influence.
6. Continuous and constructive dialogue with international partners allows us to integrate foreign policy, economic strategy, and institutional development into a single, interconnected vision.
7. The issues of security and peace have deep historical roots for the Armenian people. Our primary objective is to establish guaranteed and fair peace.
8. Armenians in various countries have always made significant contributions to the development of their host countries. Today, we propose an approach that views the potential of the Diaspora not only as a resource but also as a factor for expanding Armenia’s strategic depth. We plan to involve the Diaspora in economic, technological, scientific, and cultural projects, which will strengthen Armenia’s stability and role on the international stage. Our goal is to create a modern network system of cooperation among Armenians living around the world. We are convinced that Armenia can become a natural bridge between various countries and regions, using the global presence of the Armenian people as a tool for strategic depth.
