Pashinyan's Response to Allegations of Azerbaijani Position Improvements
During a press conference after the government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the claims regarding improvements in the Azerbaijani positions in Armenian territory, reminding that the Ministry of Defense has provided a detailed clarification rejecting the circulating news.
"There is a clear map, there is a clear line which has legal significance, indicating that these claims do not correspond to reality. You say there is peace, can it be there is no peace? Can it be there is a war? I am not informed, or there is some conflict, there is escalation, maybe there are casualties or injuries, you simply do not tell me, you spare me. When you say there is peace, what am I supposed to say? Where is there a war, where are there shots fired, where are there injuries, where are there casualties, where is there an attack, explosion, shelling, missile attack? Please clarify, so we know where all this is happening in the Republic of Armenia.
We say there is peace. I believe the Minister of Defense has also invited you to see what kind of engineering work we are doing in our territory and what measures we are taking. We have also invited you to observe the military equipment and technology. Countries may undertake certain measures within their sovereign territories. What is the problem? The entire issue is that there is a clear border, and you know where the Republic of Armenia is and the authority of the state bodies of the Republic of Armenia, and where it is not, and outside the authority of the state bodies of the Republic of Armenia. We have, of course, stated alongside that there are certain issues with some areas that will be resolved in the delimitation process," the Prime Minister stated.
