After Proposals are Completed, the Names of Political Forces Will be Announced: CEC President

“Political forces determine their own names and programs. We are dealing with parties or party alliances,” said Vahagn Hovakimyan, President of the Central Electoral Commission, during a press conference, responding to a question about whether they plan to create a ballot under the name of the political force ‘I am Against Everyone’.

“Will we have such a party or alliance participating in the elections? I do not know. I can somewhat answer your question on April 24, when all proposals will be completed and you will know the names of the political forces that have been nominated. Naturally, after the nominations, according to the law, ballots are printed in the names of all registered parties,” Hovakimyan stated.

According to him, when they have any party with a specific name, they must print the ballot under that name. “But it is premature to say today whether... We need to have a registered party or alliance in order to print. If everything goes smoothly and there are no withdrawals, they will naturally print under whatever name the party or alliance wishes,” Hovakimyan added.
