Nakhchivan Declared an Inseparable Part of Azerbaijan: Aliyev Approves New Constitution

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has approved amendments to the Constitution of Nakhchivan. The document stipulates the addition of two new articles to the Constitution of the Autonomous Republic, as well as modifications to several other articles and the preamble.

The previous version of the Constitution stated that the foundation of Nakhchivan's autonomy was enshrined in the 1921 Moscow and Kars treaties. The new edition asserts that Nakhchivan is an inseparable part of Azerbaijan.
