Iran's Military Command Warns Azerbaijan: Ambassador

There is no reason for us to want to strike Azerbaijan with a drone that hits the deserted part of the Nakhchivan airport. This was stated in an interview with SHANTNEWS by Iran's ambassador to Armenia, Khalil Shyrgolemin.

“If our decision had been to strike Azerbaijan, as we did against certain American bases and Israel, we would have accurately targeted the objective. Therefore, this incident was suspicious, completely dubious. Azerbaijan's response was disproportionate and unfriendly. Their reactions prompted our military command to warn Azerbaijan to be cautious instead of initiating these processes, so that the Israeli regime does not launch an attack on Iran from their territory, since if there is an attack, we will respond without hesitation and with complete determination. Their raised noise and uproar were entirely unfounded and hollow. I believe they also noticed that their responses were inappropriate and made some corrections,” said Iran's ambassador to Armenia, Khalil Shyrgolemin.

“Israel has a security presence in Azerbaijan, we know that, but as we have warned the region, especially all the countries in the Persian Gulf, that in this war the US and the Zionist regime should not use the capabilities of these countries against Iran, the same applies to others. Therefore, the matter of the drone was a hollow and baseless issue, and we desire to have perfect friendly and brotherly relations with all countries in the Caucasus region,” he concluded.
