Iran Refuses Ceasefire: 'A Tough Response' Necessary Against Aggressor, Foreign Ministry
Iran is unwilling to agree to a ceasefire until the aggressive party receives a response strong enough to prevent further military operations against Tehran. This was stated by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf.
In a post on the X social platform, Ghalibaf indicated that Iran does not seek a ceasefire agreement. According to him, a 'tough response' is necessary to deter the aggressor from contemplating further actions against Iran.
The parliamentary speaker also emphasized that Tehran aims to break free from what he characterized as a 'war-negotiation-ceasefire and back to war' sequence. He stated that Iran intends to disrupt this cycle and prevent the recurrence of such situations in the future.
