Putin-Trump Phone Conversation Takes Place

Russian President Vladimir Putin has held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. This was announced by the assistant to the Russian President, Yuri Ushakov.

“The conversation focused on the conflict around Iran and the negotiations for resolution in Ukraine. The call was initiated by the U.S. President. The leaders exchanged meaningful and useful thoughts on the situation prevailing in Iran.

Putin expressed his views aimed at a rapid political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Iran. The Russian President positively assessed the mediation efforts of the U.S. and personally Trump in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. The conversation was practical, sincere, and constructive,” Ushakov noted.
