Iran Should Officially Apologize to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Says

Azerbaijan and the United States are in constant contact regarding the attack on Nakhchivan. This was reported by Azerbaijan's ambassador to Washington, Khazar Ibrahim, to Axios.

The ambassador stated that following the incident, Baku is taking necessary defensive and preventive measures. He indicated that these measures are aimed at ensuring national security and preventing possible new threats.

Ibrahim noted that Iran must officially apologize for the incident and provide a clear explanation of what transpired. He also emphasized that those responsible for the incident should be held accountable.

The ambassador added that guarantees are also needed to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
