Every Region Will Have 2 Collection Points: Narek Karapetyan
The Ararat Valley will focus on fruits and vegetables, with each region set to have 2 collection points. This was stated by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the ‘Our Way’ party council, during a press conference in the Ararat province.
“It is important for farmers to have the option to sell their produce at 2-3 collection points, as this will bring competition for them. The collection points will compete with the farmer's harvest, offering much better prices. One advantage of collection points is that farmers will have the opportunity from the beginning of the year to know what price they will be selling their crops for. This will allow farmers to predict their expenses and know from the start of the year whether they will make a profit or not,” said Narek Karapetyan.
Other regions, particularly those focused on livestock, such as Gegharkunik and Shirak provinces, will mainly concentrate collection points on meat products, but there will also be collection for potatoes and wheat.
