Paris Allows the US to Use Its Bases
France has temporarily permitted US military aircraft to utilize its bases located in the Middle East. This was reported by the AFP agency, citing the country's General Staff.
The representative of the General Staff stated that, within the framework of cooperation with the United States, the presence of American aircraft has been authorized at French bases in the region. He noted that this measure is temporary.
According to official sources, the American aircraft are engaged in operations to support the defense of France's partners in the region. However, it has not been specified which particular military bases are being referred to.
Earlier, Spain had refused to allow the US to use its bases for potential actions against Iran. Responding to this decision, US President Donald Trump stated that Washington could halt trade relations with Spain.
