Iranian Foreign Ministry Statement on Attack on Nakhichevan Airport

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated in an interview with Azerbaijan's AnewZ TV channel that Tehran has not carried out attacks on Azerbaijani territory.

“We don’t target neighboring countries. Iran's policy is to strike only against adversaries, including U.S. and Zionist regime military bases that operate in the region and are used to attack the Iranian civilian population.

From the very beginning, we have stated that if there are any military bases in the region that are being used to launch attacks against Iran, we will strike them. That is our policy,” Gharibabadi confirmed, reiterating Tehran's position.
