This is a historic opportunity for our region: Nikol Pashinyan

Today, economic ties are being established between Armenia and Azerbaijan with the support and assistance of Georgia, which is highly commendable and is acknowledged by us. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a joint announcement with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, emphasizing that the economic cooperation between Armenia and Georgia is also deepening, based on already established traditions.

“There is no secret that for Armenian tourists, Georgia has been, is, and continues to be one of the most popular destinations, and we are pleased to see that visits from Armenia to Georgia are increasing. This is a very important expression of our political active cooperation,” he said.

Pashinyan also emphasized the importance of establishing long-term stability and peace in the region based on Georgia's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence. “Armenia and Azerbaijan have built and are building peace on this basis. I believe this is truly a historic opportunity for our region. I wish to see that this long-lasting record of peace and resolution also takes place in Georgia, and it must be stated clearly that we are very interested in it because we see that there is a great opportunity to overcome the very difficult historical fate of our region. We hope that this opportunity will be utilized,” added Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
