Rubio on US Decisions Regarding Iran: We Were Aware of Israeli Plans

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that Washington took into account Israel's planned strikes and their implications when determining potential actions against Iran. According to him, the American side was aware of Israel's intentions and was prepared for various scenarios of developments.

Rubio mentioned in a conversation with reporters that the US recognizes the potential impact that Israeli actions can have on the regional situation, and it was necessary to be prepared in advance for possible responses.

The Secretary of State asserted that American diplomatic missions are also targeted as a result of Iran's retaliatory actions. He noted that such attacks are carried out in response to strikes from the US and Israel.

It is worth mentioning that on February 28, the US and Israel began striking several facilities located within Iran, including in Tehran. Reports in the media indicate devastation and casualties among civilians. In turn, Iran has been launching strikes on Israeli territory and US military facilities.
