Concern Over Corruption as Thieves Seek to Sacrifice Armenia's Independence – Ruben Rubinyan

In response to journalists' questions regarding the consolidation of the opposition, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, stated that his concern does not lie with the consolidation itself, but rather with the fact that corrupt officials and thieves seeking to compromise Armenia's independence are striving to come to power.

“This continues to be concerning, and I believe it worries the people of Armenia. I think the people of Armenia will win in the elections on June 7,” noted Rubinyan.

Commenting on the political party's regional visits and interactions with citizens, he addressed observations that there are also dissatisfied citizens, emphasizing that electoral logic does not imply universal approval.

“The electoral logic is as follows: does a specific citizen have enough affection and trust towards a certain political force to choose that force, or not? We have seen this. We’ve traveled to the regions for two days, and probably there have been one or two negative incidents. Meanwhile, the case of the shopkeeper from Artashat is proof that there is freedom of speech in Armenia, and citizens can express their opinions, even in harsh terms, and nothing will happen to them for doing so,” concluded the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
