The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that the escalation of statements regarding nuclear weapons is due to the disappointment of those who predicted Russia's defeat. According to him, such rhetoric stems from unfulfilled expectations. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

"They are probably upset that nothing is working out for them. That's what I think. And the goal is again Russia's defeat. They say that Ukraine is winning," Lavrov said, responding to journalists' questions about why the rhetoric concerning nuclear weapons negotiations has intensified.

Discussing the so-called 'volunteer coalition,' Lavrov noted that representatives of this group are essentially trying to present their desired outcomes as the real situation.
