Pashinyan on Peace with Azerbaijan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that negotiations on the text of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan have concluded by the end of March 2025. He stated that this has been officially declared, and a few months later, a joint declaration was adopted and signed by U.S. President Donald Trump as a witness.

The Prime Minister noted that with the signing of the document, peace has been established, and the implementation of the agreements reached is currently underway. He reported that the formation of the 'Trump Road' initiative is in progress, aimed at ensuring peace and economic development.

According to Pashinyan, the project is an investment program within the territory of Armenia, which includes the construction of a railway that will connect the East with the West. This is expected to provide a link from the main part of Azerbaijan to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as a southern railway communication for Armenia.

The Prime Minister added that the project could also create new opportunities for the European Union, considering the current difficulties in supply chains. He stated that the 'Trump Road', as a component of the 'Peace Crossroads' government program, will create a new logistics corridor from the European Union to Central Asia and in the opposite direction.
